The Government of Liberia, in partnership with the Government of Morocco, has made
available 65 bilateral scholarships in the following CATEGORIES: Bachelors, Masters,
Professional Studies, Ph.D. and Technical and Vocational Education (TVET) at public
Moroccan institutions of higher learning beginning 2019/2020 academic year.
While the selection process for 2019/2020 scholarship beneficiaries will proceed without delay to satisfy the timeline for submission of deserving candidates, the actual departure of the students to Morocco shall depend on the resolution of the allowance challenge currently being experienced by the students in that country. In spite of that challenge, the Government remains committed to the Bilateral Scholarship Program with other friendly countries.
Bachelors, Masters, Professional Studies and Ph.D.:
Medicine, Dentistry, Geology, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, Maternal
Health, and Child Health, Environmental Science, Laboratory Science, etc…
Technical and Vocational Education (TVET):
Air Traffic Controller, Aviation Security, Masonry, Plumbing, electricity, Building
Construction, Electronics, Computer Networking Technician, Computer Programing
Technician, General Mechanics, Manufacturing Technician, Electromechanics of Automated
Systems, Refrigerator Repair Technician, Specialized Technician in Heating, Ventilating and
Air Conditioning (HVAC), Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician.

NOTE: Students will be required to learn the French language, and studies will be conducted in French.
Applicants must:
 Must be a Liberian;
 Must have graduated from secondary school between academic years (2017/2018 FOR
TVET ONLY and 2018/2019 FOR BOTH CATEGORIES), with strong science marks
(80 and above);
 Possess secondary school average of “B” above;
 Have passed the WAEC or WASSCE with very strong science marks;
 Be between 18–22 years of age at the time of application.
Eligible Liberian nationals must forward THREE (3) COPIES of the following documents for
 An application form (to be picked up from the Division of Scholarships)
 An application letter by the candidate in which s/he mentions in order of preference
courses and schools, clearly stating (address, phone number, email);
 Certified photocopies of high school transcript;
 Certified photocopies of high school diploma;
 Certified photocopies of WAEC or WASSCE Certificate;
 Photocopies of birth certificate;
 Photocopies of VALID passport (ECOWAS-Liberian Biometric passport);
 An UPDATED medical certificate issued by a recognized medical institution (pick up
the list of the test) from the Division of Scholarships.
 Six (6) recent white background (identical) passport photos in color with the full name of
the candidate has written at the back of each photo;
 A one to two page summary of the reasons for wishing to undertake training in Morocco
and how this training will benefit Liberia;
 A CV (with phone number and e-mail address clearly listed);
 Two recent letters of recommendation (one professional/from a community leader and
one academic);

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: Candidates will be required to notarize all requested
documents when nominated within 24 hours (certifying of requested documents is after all
vetting process); No excuses will be granted for the lack of birth certificate and passport;
Applicants’ letters of recommendation, a medical certificate should be dated within 30 days; all applicants must adhere to the closing date and time on this announcement. Failure to complete the application requirements and submit all documentation requested BY THE DEADLINE will lead to automatic disqualification.
