Safeguarding Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve BRAC’s goals of safeguarding.
- Act as a resource of support and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so
Job Summary:
The job holder will maintain proper accounting records for daily transactions, and check that the program bill vouchers of the office are being properly recorded. Key Duties:
- Check the bill vouchers of the branch/ Area or Regional offices and ensure they follow BRAC procurement and finance guidelines.
- Scan all bill vouchers and send them to Country Office monthly and update the AIM finance officer at the Country office.
- To ensure effective payments of monthly salary of AIM program staff through Bank account, payments of statutory deductions such as NASSCORP contributions, withholding tax to Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), etc, and ensure the same is captured correctly in the accounting system (SBI cloud).
- To verify that the separate Fixed Asset Register is maintained and recorded for all types of fixed assets that are used for the programs in Branch Offices/ Areas/ Regional (Equipment, Furniture, and Inventory) and affect respective entries in the accounting system such as Depreciation, Disposal, utilization of inventory and transfer between offices.
- Toproviderequiredfinancialsupportforprogramimplementationbycommunicatingwith the Head of all programs of the field office as required by management and donor showing the financial position/stability, Value for Money, and compliance with donor requirements. · To liaison with the internal and external auditors and provide the necessary support to them by Supplying the billing voucher, registering, reports, etc. of different programs as the auditors require.
Required Skills / Capacity:
(SDP), accounting treatment related to grants and bank transactions.
- Interpersonal communication skills and teamwork
- Good computer skills preferably MS Excel and MS Word
Professional competence with good knowledge of International transactions including management of donors and partners.
- Awareness and experience in using accounting software for capturing financial transactions.
Experience Requirements:
- BBA or equivalent in Finance/Accounting/ Business Management/Banking
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will be an added advantage
- 3-5 years experience.
