๐ What is Chevening?
The Chevening UK Scholarship is a prestigious and fully funded award granted by the UK government. It supports outstanding emerging leaders from eligible countries to pursue a one-year masterโs degree in the UK. Chevening is looking for people with the drive, ideas, and leadership potential to effect positive change in their home countries.
๐ Program Benefits
Successful scholars will receive:

๐ Eligible Courses
To be eligible:

The course must be full-time and taught masterโs (not research-only).

It should start in the UK during the Autumn (usually September/October).

Duration must be between 9 and 12 months.

Must lead to a masterโs degree qualification.

Courses that are part-time, distance-learning, exceeding 12 months, or include more than one month of study outside the UK are not eligible.

โ Eligibility Requirements
To apply, you must:

Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country.

Hold an undergraduate degree that allows you to apply for a postgraduate program at UK universities (often equivalent to a UK upper second-class (2:1) honors degree).

Have at least two years (โ2,800 hours) of work experience after completing your undergraduate degree.

Apply to three different eligible UK masterโs courses and receive at least one unconditional offer before the deadline.

Commit to returning to your country of citizenship for at least two years after completing the scholarship.
You are not eligible if:

You hold British or dual British citizenship (unless in specific cases like British Overseas Territory or certain Hong Kong statuses).

You have refugee status in a non-eligible country.

You are an employee, former employee, or close relative of certain UK government departments or Chevening partner organizations (depending on also the rules for partner awards).

You have previously studied in the UK with funding from a UK government-funded scholarship (though multiple masterโs degrees may be considered if you can justify the need for them).
