About Us:
CERATH Development Organization (CDO) is a non-profit organization focused on development in West Africa with intervention areas in Agriculture, Fisheries, Renewable Energy, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), and Inclusive Finance. CDO operates in Ghana, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. The Liberia Fisheries Governance Project, in collaboration with Conservation Alliance, aims to empower CSOs and media actors to support the rights and livelihoods of fisherfolk in Sinoe County.
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will oversee the successful implementation of the Liberia Fisheries Governance Project. This involves project leadership, stakeholder engagement, financial management, capacity building, and monitoring and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership & Management
- Develop and manage project plans, ensuring alignment with goals and timelines.
- Lead day-to-day operations, managing resources within budget.
- Foster a collaborative environment within the project team.
- Monitor project progress, mitigating risks as necessary.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the main liaison between the project and the EU.
- Build positive relationships with communities, government bodies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Financial Management
- Oversee project budgets and ensure compliance with EU financial guidelines.
- Collaborate with the finance team on transparent reporting and optimization.
- Capacity Building
- Identify and address training needs for project team and stakeholders.
- Monitoring & Evaluation
- Design and execute a framework for tracking project outcomes and impact.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s in Fisheries, Agriculture, Agric Economics, Sociology, Governance, or Administration.
- Experience: 8+ years in project management for Master’s degree holders; or Bachelor’s with 10+ years.
- Skills: Strong knowledge in fisheries governance, rural community dynamics, and EU funding/reporting processes.
- Personal Traits: Leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work in challenging environments.
- Other: Willingness to travel by motorbike as required.
