The EU Delegation to Liberia is seeking an Accounts Clerk for its Administration Section in Monrovia. This full-time position offers a chance to work in a diplomatic mission that represents the EU’s partnership with Liberia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, prepare cost claims, and manage budget lines in the EU accounting system.
  • Ensure supporting documents are available for all payments and conduct monthly account closures.
  • Maintain inventory and track cash transactions.
  • Assist in salary payments for local staff, manage social benefits, and support Head of Administration when needed.
  • Monitor budget execution and prepare reports for Headquarters.
  • Act as backup for the Accounting Assistant and participate in section meetings.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Secondary education diploma (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in English (C2 level), with the right to work in Liberia.
  • Must be medically fit for assigned duties.

Preferred:

  • University degree in a related field (e.g., finance or accountancy).
  • 2 years of experience with accrual-based accounting software.
  • Experience in financial management, budget monitoring, and working in international or diplomatic environments.
  • Familiarity with SAP and strong skills in MS Word and Excel.
