The EU Delegation to Liberia is seeking an Accounts Clerk for its Administration Section in Monrovia. This full-time position offers a chance to work in a diplomatic mission that represents the EU’s partnership with Liberia.
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices, prepare cost claims, and manage budget lines in the EU accounting system.
- Ensure supporting documents are available for all payments and conduct monthly account closures.
- Maintain inventory and track cash transactions.
- Assist in salary payments for local staff, manage social benefits, and support Head of Administration when needed.
- Monitor budget execution and prepare reports for Headquarters.
- Act as backup for the Accounting Assistant and participate in section meetings.
Qualifications
Required:
- Secondary education diploma (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficient in English (C2 level), with the right to work in Liberia.
- Must be medically fit for assigned duties.
Preferred:
- University degree in a related field (e.g., finance or accountancy).
- 2 years of experience with accrual-based accounting software.
- Experience in financial management, budget monitoring, and working in international or diplomatic environments.
- Familiarity with SAP and strong skills in MS Word and Excel.
